The Wine

La Corsia is our first auction wine, and a one-of-a-kind barrel selection from our single vineyard program with Lachini Vineyard. This old-vine, biodynamically farmed block of Pommard is sourced from the famed Calkins Lane hillside. This wine displays purity and elegance born from these ancient sedimentary soils. We fermented this wine using native yeasts and then aged it in French oak, of which 25% was new. While it would be tempting to drink this now, we believe it has aging potential of 10 years or more. La Corsia is a wonderful wine to have in your cellar or wine list.

The Winery

We are not from a winemaking family, but “mornings turned into evenings”-type days out in the vineyards, season through season, has led us to become one. We are rooted in building from the ground up—first with the planting of Paul de Lancellotti's father-in-law's vineyard in 1998, then the creation of Bergström Wines in 1999, and then the planting of our own vineyard. The experience gained in these early years led us to the creation of our brand, de Lancellotti Family Vineyards, in 2005.

The beginning years opened our eyes to biodynamic farming—a holistic practice of farming used for generations in the premiere vineyards around the world, but one that is largely misunderstood until one has spent a lifetime in vineyards. The peers we respect most in this industry are those farmers whose mindset is rooted in the health of our planet. Since 2005, de Lancellotti wines are a result of fruit sourced from some of the finest vineyards in Oregon, hand selected & intentionally farmed throughout the year. Simply put, farming great vineyards and sourcing the finest Pinot noir and Chardonnay are our passions.
