Two beautiful sites located in the Dundee Hills and Yamhill-Carlton AVAs are represented in this bottling. Planted in 1973, Durant Vineyard is in the sweet spot in Dundee Hills and rich in fragrance and pretty red fruits. Merriman is located in marine sedimentary soils near Carlton. It has great intensity of color, flavor and richness. Together they form a seamless wine from this great vintage.
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe has been working to produce exceptional wines from Oregon and Washington. The winery is named after Owen Roe O'Neill, a 17th century Irish patriot who dedicated his life to upholding the highest principles of political equality and freedom. We share his dedication with meticulous attention to every aspect of winemaking and farming. In the winery, we practice minimal handling and traditional techniques to produce the most authentic expression of each varietal.
