Opulent layers of blueberry and boysenberry on the nose with hints of ginger spice and dried lavender lingering on the pallet. This lot will age on lees for 18 months in 100% new, thick-stave, cigar-shaped French oak barrels. The 2016 La Colina Barrel Selection is a full-bodied, ripe yet silky expression of a warm-vintage Oregon Pinot noir.
Amy Lee founded Rocky Point Cellars in 2010 with the goals of making great Oregon Pinot noir and writing as many checks as possible while still staying financially afloat. With the support of her friends, family, unicorn-like partner and and menagerie, she has achieved her first goal—making what her mom Sherry proclaims is "the best Pinot noir in the world!" (She's still working on the second goal.) In 2017, Amy signed a long-term lease and set up a new home for Rocky Point Cellars in charming downtown Carlton. Rocky Point plans to open a very exclusive BINGO/Wine Club in the second half of 2018. Stay tuned to the website for more information about membership.
