The Wine

2016 Tendril Whole Lotta Love shows some of the best attributes of 100% whole-cluster Pinot noir. Our approach involves the use of small fermenters and a long, slow fermentation. The result is a wine that displays amazing balance, texture and length that can only be achieved through whole-cluster fermentation. This unique lot is sourced from a premier block of the Gran Moraine vineyard planted to Dijon selection 777. The nose displays aromas of dark plum, bing cherry, tarragon, vanilla, allspice and sassafras. The palate is enticing and supple, showing flavors of blackberry, dried fig, bay leaf, black olive and barrel spice.

The Winery

Tendril Wine Cellars is a unique and rare gem located in Oregon's Willamette Valley. This is the personal wine project of acclaimed winemaker and consultant Tony Rynders. Founded in 2008, the goal for Tendril was to create a unique wine experience focused on Pinot noir. After years of painstaking effort, we now feature a lineup of five wines that make up our "five-course meal" of Pinot noir. Our offerings range from a barrel-fermented white Pinot noir to 100% whole-cluster red Pinot noir. The result is an exciting range of offerings that highlight the versatility that can be achieved with Pinot noir.
